ohamanda is probably going to take one look at the title of this blog and go…
“ummm…what?”
And that’s okay. 
See, it all started with her blog yesterday about ibakesale. Well, it actually started before that with my looking at ways of bringing in extra money. So, after reading her blog yesterday, I wondered why there wasn’t a site for online garage sales. I mean, there’s eBay, but they totally nickel and dime you, and no one really pays attention to you unless you’ve been on there for a while, and since I have no rating, I decided to look for something else.
I’m sure you can imagine my first step, which was, of course, google. To make a long story short, I came across buysellcommunity.com. After some investigation, mostly coming down to the cost, I decided to do a trial run - paid my $5 yearly fee to be a verified member, and created a store called Treasure Island. There’s not much there at the moment, but you never know what’s going to show up. Treasure Island will, hopefully, take off and here’s where you guys come in:
Go check it out. Spread the word. Any comments or ideas you’d care to share will be appreciated. I’ll probably add more things this evening - I have a ton of Mary Kay stuff that I’m planning on listing (one of my not-so-bright ideas to bring in extra money that went absolutely nowhere). Since I’m not planning on venturing down that path again, and since I’m technically no longer a consultant, I’d rather someone be able to use it than to have it sit around the house taking up space.
So…spread the word, willya?
