A bit ago, someone asked me what happened with the gymnastics coach gig I applied for. I’ll admit, it was a thoughtless thing to do, neglecting to update the status.
Well…
I was offered the job - something I didn’t think would happen, but was pleased about. The bad part is that I had to turn it down. From the ad in the paper, I surmised that it was full-time, but it turned out to be only 20-25 hours a week at a pay rate I simply couldn’t afford to live on. It hurt to give up this job, but I’ve gotten myself in so much debt, there’s no way I could afford to take it.
I do start a job tomorrow that, while only a 5-6 month gig (which could possibly turn into a permanent position, but we’ll see) will pay enough for me to start getting some of my bills paid down / off. That’s they goal right now.
So…in other news - there are going to be some changes coming for my blog. I’m not sure what, exactly, but I’m re-formulating my plan. The only hindrance I see will be working a bunch of overtime at the new gig, supposedly starting mid-September, so we’ll see how much time I have to implement the changes.
