Monday Morning Blahs

I woke up this morning just after 5am, rolled out of bed, even though I wasn’t feeling well, and drove to work only to have my boss tell me that no one wanted my cooties and sent me home.
So, I caught a quick nap as soon as I got home, then decided to use today to my advantage in terms of getting some things done. I started going through my grad school applications and made decisions as to what I wanted to study at each university - of course all of them are English-related. I’ve only got 5 schools decided on, but I want to apply to at least 10, so I’ll check out Ireland, which I’ve been meaning to do (so far I’ve got schools picked out in England, Scotland and Wales) and I’ll go back through and see if I can’t pick five more schools. All but one of the schools I’m currently looking at have online applications, which is great because when I applied to the University of Glasgow it cost me nearly $35.00 to send everything in the mail. I can’t imagine sending applications for 10 schools at $35.00 a pop.
Of course, I still have no idea how I’m going to pull of paying for it should I actually get accepted somewhere. I can apply for US Financial Aid, same as I would for an American school, but I’m still $15,000 in debt from my BA and would like to be able to pay for as much of it out of pocket as I can.
Which means I’ve got to start getting creative in terms of fund raising. If anyone has any ideas about how to raise about $35,000 or so in cash in about a year’s time, let me know.
Other than that, I haven’t done much - I did finally get around to applying for a temporary insurance policy since I’m currently sans insurance. It won’t do much good if I have to go to the doctor, but if something major happens (God forbid) then at least I’ll have some sort of coverage.
