Good Times

By Keiti | November 23, 2007

Yesterday I caught up with an old friend of mine who I haven’t seen in nearly 10 years.  We caught the new Stephen King movie, The Mist (verdict: wait for the video - definitely not one of King’s better adaptations).  At any rate, it was cool to catch up with him and hang out for a bit.  I ended up having to make it an early night, though, because I hadn’t had nearly enough sleep and wound up with a headache.  That was the yucky part.

As I was laying in bed doing what I swore I’d never do again (which is falling asleep to Little People, Big World) I thought about how I needed to mature a bit since we first met in order to fully appreciate him.  Ten years is a long time, and while I’m hardly the picture of modern maturity, it’s wonderful to have people in my life who aren’t drug addicts or alcoholics or who feel the need to be something other than who they are.

I guess being an adult isn’t all bad.  :-)
I’ve got to go back to sleep.  I ended up having last night off (obviously); I passed out around 10pm and woke up at 2:30 this morning.  Been watching Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo off and on.  I’ll be glad to get back on something of a normal schedule.  As much as I like working nights, it’s beginning to take its toll.
