Insanity

By Keiti | December 14, 2007

I always thought the definition of insanity was continuing to do the same thing over and over again and expecting the outcome to be different.

I have, however, decided that insanity is deciding to bake two different types of cookies (chocolate chip and oatmeal) as well as mini-german-chocolate-cake cupcakes (none of which I’ll eat), toss around website ideas with your Web Designer (a big shout out to DC!), and edit a book for a friend of mine because he has an agent interested in reading it in its entirety.  All of this being done at essentially the same time.

I’m excited because so many good things are happening not only for me, but for those I care about and include among my friends.  (Actually, that should be those who include me among their friends, but I’m not going to quibble semantics right now.)

Seriously.  Today started off pretty quietly.  I’m still reveling in the glow of getting accepted to Grad School.  Ran to the store for cookie-baking provisions and started that right away since my dad has baking of his own to do.  Mid-day I receive a frantic email from K.L. about agents and editing and craziness.  I’m in the middle of baking cookies.  Shortly thereafter, I receive the first email of the day from DC about the website (Have I told you, DC, how happy I am that you’ve returned?  And not because of the web site).  I’m still in the middle of baking cookies and I’m replying to emails and editing chapters.  It’s pouring down rain outside.  I have my new glasses to go pick up (though that will probably wait until tomorrow).  And I have more chapters to edit once they arrive in my inbox.  (Shut up, DC, ya perv!)  There will be more emails from DC.  More decisions to make.  More editing.

I love it when my life is insanely fun!
