I Am A Writer. No, Really!

I’m sorry for the lack of posting over the past couple of days - of course Christmas kept me pretty busy, but I’ve also been writing - something I haven’t done since the summer. I finally put an ending to a children’s play I started writing two years ago. I still have a lot of editing to do before it can be submitted to contests, but I hope to have it fully completed by New Year’s Day.
I’ll try not to be so quiet between now and then, but I’m making no promises. I really want to get this play completed and get started on my next writing project. I’m not sure what that is quite yet. I also need to seriously start making plans for Scotland. Which means finding a job and scrounging up as much money as I can over the next eight months. There will be a lot to blog about, but not much time.
There will also be some major changes coming to my blog. I’m not sure when, but hopefully within the next couple of weeks.
So stay tuned.

Ooh, I didn’t know you wrote plays or kids’ stuff! How cool! Are you going to share some of it?

This is the first play I’ve written since college, which makes it only my 3rd ever, and my first children’s play. It’s been a learning experience.
I’m not sure if I’ll share any of it on my blog - sometimes when you enter writing in contests or approach someone about producing it, they want to know that it’s never been published anywhere, and that includes online. I will tell you that it’s a fairy tale, albeit more along the lines of the Grimm Brothers rather than Disney.
I’m not a huge fan of Disney.
