New Year’s Eve
By Keiti | December 31, 2007
I’m such a boring person I very rarely ever do anything for New Year’s Eve except stay home. I don’t like being out on the road with so many crazy drunk people thinking it’s a good time to be driving a car. I’m not much of a drinker, so I tend to stay away from the alcohol-fueled parties. Even though I’m a social person, I’ve learned to like my solitude.
My goal for the end of 2007 was to finish the latest edit of my children’ play which, I’m happy to report, I did - with 48 minutes to spare. There’s still more editing to do, but the hard part is over - Even though I started it two years ago, I had no ending for it, and ended up writing 29 new pages of script in three days. It doesn’t sound like a lot, I suppose, but believe me - I spent plenty of time wanting to rip my hair out.
I’ve sent it off to a couple of friends of mine for comments and will hopefully have a final draft done in a week or two. After that I’m going to start looking for places to submit it for production. I ran across this cool site, Playscripts, Inc., that I’m considering submitting it to. So, we’ll see.
Now I can settle down for a quiet night on the couch waiting for the ball to drop on Times Square and hanging out with my mom.
Happy New Year, everyone!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I’d really love to read it if you’re up for sharing…. but I know how it is when things are “work in progress/final draft” stage, so no worries if you’d prefer not to.
I too am having a chill eve at home. Tim has a gig tonight at some country club in Ocala so I’ve been catching up with the thousands of unread posts in meh google reader. I subscribe to way too many things but I can’t help it- there’s so much cool info on the internets.

Congrats again on reaching your goal!
