It’s Idol Time

I’m not a huge American Idol fan, but I do watch it - it’s one of the few shows my mom and I watch together, so I consider it quality time. Of sorts.
I’m not interested in doing a recap of last night’s show - for that check out Rodney Ho’s American Idol blog. I did giggle, though, while watching Christina Tolisano, the girl who had the Princess Leia hair going on, albeit with fake side buns. I couldn’t help myself, mostly because one of my favorite pictures of myself is me as a kid sporting the misfit version of Princess Leia hair.
So for your viewing pleasure…
I’m not sure how old I am in this picture - probably 8 or 9. I have no idea why I’m dressed up (trust me - this was dressed up for me. I was a huge tomboy and my mom essentially had to bribe me to get me in a dress), nor why I’m wearing a super low-cut dress (not that I had any boobs, but still…), or carrying a purse (something I have a hard time doing even as an adult), but here I am in all my Princess Leia glory…
I was such a geek even then.

That’s hilarious. It makes me think of That 70’s show. Digging the hair… Almost as much as the wallpaper.
