Today is a Sad Day…
By Keiti | January 20, 2008
In an ongoing effort to build up enough cash for Scotland, I have decided to part ways with the vast majority of my CD collection. I know it’s silly to be sad about it, but I can’t help it. There was a time when music was my life, though that has many years since been replaced by my love of literature, and I’ll probably be streamlining that, as well. All things told, I know they’re replaceable if I should choose to do so, but it’s difficult to part with what used to be a huge part of my life.
So this morning, I went through my CDs, pulled out the ones I wanted to keep (all of my Depeche Mode and James CDs, a few The Sisters of Mercy, a few Tom Jones and a few Soundtracks) - the rest I’ll go through, copy what I want to keep and sell the rest.
I’ll probably get rid of my LP collection, too.
*sigh*
All of this means extra work on my part in terms of trying to determine a value for some of the bootlegs, limited editions, hard-to-find and / or signed CDs and LPs.
And actually cataloging what I have.
Mourn with me, won’t you?
If you’re a collector / seller who wants to seriously consider purchasing in bulk, send me an email privately and I’ll let you know when I have everything together.

Hey K.
I had a site that was all about valuing vinyl. I lost it when I loaded my new os. But I will see if I can find it.

Cool. Thanks. I was just going to use eBay as my guide. But anything you can come up with would be great.

Should you wish, I can by them on consignment? Well at least some of them.
