Oh My How Time Flies

I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday already! This week has positively flown by and I have very little to show for it.
Seems like there’s never enough time to get everything done.
I did get the chance to laugh at myself this week, though, since I had my first real freak-out attack about going to Scotland last night, complete with hyperventilation and tears. I can’t say that it was an anxiety attack, exactly, but it was bad enough.
It’s funny that the one thing in the world I’ve been talking about since I was sixteen scares the hell out of me. It’s not the Scotland part so much as it is the traveling part. Well, it’s more the anticipation of traveling than it is the actual traveling. I know I’ll freak myself out between now and the time I leave, but once I get on my way it’ll settle down. I’ve done this to myself right before every big move I’ve ever made since I was nineteen. If I could just close my eyes in one place and open them in another, there’d be no problem. I’d happily settle for teleportation of the Star Trek variety.
Instead I get to make a huge deal out of something that doesn’t need to be.
We all need our amusements, I suppose.
