Music Used to be My Life

By Keiti | February 11, 2008

I miss music. It sounds silly, I guess, but music truly used to be my life. I kept myself so immersed I barely came up for respite from the five-night-a-week clubbing (and going to work on a mere two hours of sleep - I wish I could still pull that one off…), going to shows constantly, bonding over this favorite song or that favorite band and working to pay for my habits of buying every single Depeche Mode CD and collectible stuff I could get my hands on.

Believe it or not, I used to spend my last dollar on music.

Seriously.

I miss most of all the solace I used to gain from completely losing myself in a song. Now, I’m too aware of what goes on around me to do anything but be in hyper-vigilance mode.

I have a new love in my life, though.

(God bless impulse buying.)

Now if I could only learn to use it well…

So, is Nelly Furtado on the iPod above a coincidence or a guilty little secret? ;)
Email me later and me know what you’re listening to (or looking for) these days- I’ve got some MP3s for you!

Yeah…Nelly Furtado has placed at the top of my list, stripping Depeche, James, and The Sisters of Mercy of their respective titles.

    ahem…

I know, I know…sarcasm isn’t on the menu for the day. Ha!

I’ll email you privately. Tomorrow. I’m going to bed.

I’m not really up on my music much these days but that sure looks like Tom Jones to me. I’m just saying…
