Things I Won’t Miss While in Scotland

By The Misfit | February 27, 2008

There are many things I’ll miss while I’m in Scotland – my family and friends, Dorian Gray who will be staying with my parents, most of my books, some food items, I’m sure.

But there are a few things I can’t wait to get rid of and not see for a while:

1.  My cell phone – I’ll probably get one for emergency purposes, but not for everyday use.  I can’t wait to be not so readily available.

2.  My car – I’ve always said if I moved back to Europe I’d never get a car.  One aspect of living in Los Angeles that I really enjoyed was being able to walk to many places – that just isn’t an option where I live in Florida.

3.  My anxiety attacks – I simply don’t have them in Europe.  Don’t know why.  Don’t care.  But I’ll certainly not miss them one bit.

4.  Lack of sleep – I’ve never slept well in the states, especially in Florida.  Don’t know why.  Don’t care.  And I certainly won’t miss not getting a good night’s sleep.

I’m sure the list will grow as time grows closer for me to leave.  But those are my top four.

I almost expected to see my name on that list.
