More Quiet Time…Sorta

I never meant to take the whole week off from posting, but I got wrapped up in getting settled into the hotel and work and getting my car fixed (which finally got done today, yay!) that time somehow got away from me.
That and I’ve been feeling a bit lonely this week. I’m so used to having people to come home to, and when you’re living in a hotel that just doesn’t happen.
I was thinking today about a conversation I had with Rock Star years and years ago about touring and living in hotel rooms and I think I finally kind of understand how utterly alone you are, even if you’re traveling in a group. I mean, it’s one thing if you’re traveling with an actual companion to share the experience (and hotel room) with, but it’s quite another when you’re essentially on your own. I know my co-workers have my back if anything drastic were to happen, but it’s just not the same.
And on that note, I’m calling it a day. Today is my only day off as I’ve got to head in to work tomorrow morning bright and early and I’ve got grammar blogs to write. I’m trying to stay as far ahead on those as possible.
It’s going to be a long month! But I’ll try not to skip a whole week of posting from here on out.
