Far From Over

Since I think it’s a good idea to refrain from biting the hand that feeds me, my thoughts on the past five weeks will have to wait a bit longer; two months longer to be exact.
As it turns out, I’m being rolled over to work on another project as an interim Admin while they search for a long-term hire. It’ll be great for additional money, and the hours will stay pretty steady at 40 hours a week. The weekly money won’t be nearly as much, but it’ll give me time to regroup and won’t be nearly as stressful and emotionally taxing as the insane hours.
So, I’ll be in Wisconsin until the end of June, unless they decide to cut me loose before then. That’s the only bad part about being a contractor; they could decide to let me go at any time - no warning and no recourse on my end.
But it’s all good. As much as I’d rather be going home, I think I’ll enjoy working on this project and it will help me continue to save money for Scotland.

anyway, about your latest entry regarding “the hand that feeds” you…I can’t imagine what you would have to complain about, you get to work with some great guys!

Really.
I don’t complain (much). I simply call it as I see it. All in good time for that one.
But you’re right - the vast majority of guys I work with are awesome.

i didn’t get sucked in, it’s my life…5 12’s, 1 day off until the outage ends.
some secrets are best kept between friends and not broadcast all over the internet…i’ll show you the secret triscuit stash tomorrow. they also have oyster crackers and a few wheat thins.
sunday’s portions at the wok are too large, they almost made me sick.

Ummm…I’m not much of a math person, as you very well know, but shouldn’t that be 6 12’s?

yes, there are 7 days in a week, yes i end up working 6 12’s for each week, but they make us work 5, take a day off, then work another 5…that way someone doesn’t always get Saturday off while another person always gets Tuesday off.
you’re right, it’s an advanced math thing that not everyone understands…
