Back To Square One

By Keiti | April 27, 2008

So, after having exchanged emails with the head of the department at the University of Stirling, studying gothic imagery in the Bible isn’t an option.  Mostly because it doesn’t fit within the constraints of the program.  And that’s fine.  It’s still something I’d like to pursue at some point down the road, but for now I’m back to square one.

Of course, I don’t have to make a decision right now at this very moment - having changed my BA major at least five times, I know I’ll bounce around on this one, too, until after school starts.  I’m trying to make note of ideas that I have, jotting them down just so I don’t forget them.

I’m a great ideas person.
:-)
So having marked the Bible idea off my list, I have now gone from three general subjects to four.

(I know my math is kind of wonky…)

1.  Children’s Literature

2.  Folklore (Grimm Bros, etc…)

3.  Oscar Wilde (who wrote my favorite novel ever, The Picture of Dorian Gray)

4.  The Marquis de Sade

I don’t have a clue what approach I’d take for any of them.  I’m trying to stay within the realm of literature, though who knows whether I’ll find something of interest with movies or music.

I can’t wait to explore my options further!

You guys have any ideas?
