So Much For a Short Work Week…

By Keiti | April 28, 2008

Well, I was under the impression that I would be back to 40 hour work weeks starting last Monday.

I was so wrong.

This week’s hours totaled 70.5.

There are, of course, people who are working far longer hours than I am - I don’t envy them one bit.  I also don’t envy their responsibilities.

I decided a long time ago that I was perfectly happy being the low man on the totem pole.

I’m exhausted, but I know they’ve got to be feeling the effects far more than I do.

But they don’t live in my head.

And in my exhaustion I’ve started having make-out dreams about one of my co-workers.

Thankfully they haven’t been gross.

They were actually kind of sweet.

I’m going to leave it at that before I completely destroy my reputation of being a hard-ass.

i’m going to assume that it’s EC or RM that you’re talking about…maybe even EN or the new guy in the group, RK - lots of man to love there….wait a minute, you didn’t say it was a guy, so it could be JS! oh, oh, that’s the shit dreams are made of!

How did I know I’d be hearing from you this evening?

was actually getting my weekly dose of humor and melancholy on postsecret…and you’ve got a link to it, so i kill two birds with one stone.
besides, it’s a distraction for an overworked (is that one word?) person.

The first one on Post Secret was the best.

    Overworked is one word.

and I don’t believe your excuse for one minute.

And I agree with you about the polka dots one.

    Heartbreaking, really.

one last thing - hard work and long hours never killed anyone, but it’s illegal in places like France.

I’ll have to check and see if the same applies to Scotland.

***Attention all readers*** (assuming about 2 people…)
The writer did spend 2 nights at EC’s apartment when she was temporarily kicked out of her hotel! folks at work noticed that she was perkier, spunkier and did her hair differently after that…so we all know who she’s dreaming of!

sorry, couldn’t resist letting the world know. :-)

re: posters - will post them. was so exhausted when I got home I didn’t feel like messing with it.

as for the second assertion, color yourself wrong. I never did have to move out of the hotel.
    :-P

Does Zach from little people big world know that you’re cheating on him in your dreams?

No, but I’m sure you’ll be the first to tell him.

I tried to tell him but he didn’t believe me. It turns out that he has some trust issues… with “tallies.” That’s what he calls people like me.
