3 Days and Counting Down
By Keiti | July 14, 2008
Today I received an email from the British Consulate in Chicago indicating that they had received my visa application (which, of course, I already knew since I’d tracked the package on Friday). They requested I wait 3 days for it to be reviewed; if all is in order, they’ll mail me my visa and send me another email indicating that my visa (and subsequently my passport since I had to send it to them) has been mailed and will include a UPS tracking number. If for any reason the information I included isn’t straightforward the process can take up to 15 days. (Assuming, of course, if they need additional information or clarification on anything they’ll request it.)
Hopefully I’ll have my visa in my grubby little hands by the beginning of next week.
I’m reserving my happy dance until said visa is in afore mentioned grubby little hands.

I’ll trade you your visa for 2 of mine - 1 for India good till 2014 and 1 for China good till 2011…do we have a deal?

Thanks for the offer, but I think I’ll stick with Scotland.

How are things up your way?

Things are good! Just keeping busy with work and training and then races every weekend…17 days till my 1/2 ironman!!! Makes me quiver with a touch of fear everytime I think about it.
By the way, tomorrow night is mac and cheese night…and that makes Thursday leftover lunch day at work, and you’ll miss it!!!

Are you still on nights?
I can’t believe you do crazy things like a 1/2 Ironman! Silly boy!
Seriously, good luck!
Mac & cheese…
*sigh*

No, the night shift was a one day thing - which makes it that much “crappier”.
I’ll let you know how I do with a broadcast txt message after the race…I’m hoping for right around 6 hours, maybe a few minutes less if the 13 mile run goes well. If the run doesn’t go so well, don’t be surprised if it’s 6:45.

Ouch! Have you recovered from your one-night stint, yet?
Definitely let me know how the 1/2 ironman goes - maybe this time I’ll get the text on time.
