Oh, How Time Flies

By Keiti | July 14, 2008

This weekend has been an absolute blur.  Actually, time has been going by at a frenetic pace since I got home.  I’m trying to figure out where it all went.

There’s so much to do and I’m wondering if I’ll be able to get it all done before I leave.  I do feel kind of bad because I had to back out of getting together with friends due to trying to get a bunch of stuff done and losing track of time.  I know they understand, but still… Hopefully I’ll be able to catch up with them this coming week.

Today I decided to start packing my books up - Last count was 275, not including the nearly 100 or so that I culled out nor the ones that I haven’t been able to locate as of yet (which is most annoying).  I have no clue where they are since books tend to find the most delicious hiding places.  At the moment, I’ve overtaken my parents TV room with stacks and stacks of books and tubs to pack them in.  I’ll need to get the vast majority of it picked up by the time my mom gets home from work tomorrow - otherwise she’s liable to wring my neck.

Things I’m planning for this week - a HUGE yard sale this weekend.  (I know some of my readers are from the town I live in, so stop by Sat and Sun - everything will be priced to sale.  Whatever doesn’t sell will end up getting donated and a girl could, frankly, use the extra cash.  If you need to know where to find the sale, email me privately (email addy on the C’est Moi page).

So, I’ll have the yard sale on Saturday, go pick up my brother late afternoon, bring him down to the house and he and I are going to a get-together for the high school we both attended in Germany (though I graduated from a different one) that night.  Sunday morning, my brother will help me with the yard sale, then we’ll go see The Dark Knight and I’ll return him to his regularly scheduled life on Monday.

I’m so excited he’s coming down here; I haven’t spent any sibling time with him in a long time.

That’s about all that’s up - trying not to think about my visa application sitting on some poor sod’s desk waiting to be approved.

It must be so lonely.
