Firewall, Firewall Can I Blow Your House Down?
By The Misfit | October 14, 2008
I worked for hours this morning figuring out how to record a video blog (after I spent hours watching video blogs posted by Matt Scannell, lead singer of Vertical Horizon) got it recorded and went to upload it only to discover that the firewall on campus won’t let me.
Dammit, I feel more bad for you, my loverly readers, because I’m sure you were so looking forward to seeing and hearing me in all my pathetic and sickly glory. But you’ll just have to wait until I figure out how to get attached to a connection without a firewall.
So, yes, my cold still lingers. I’ve been feeling better the past couple of days, a Typhoid-Mary-type cough the only lingering aspect. Until today when I got blindsided by a backslide in the energy department. I was supposed to meet friends for drinks tonight, but I begged off because I’m just so freakin’ tired. And this after spending all morning in the dorm staring dreamily into Matt’s eyes (wishing it was someone else, but that’s another story and one that will only get a passing mention) recording a video blog, going to campus for lunch, and taking a nap afterwards.
The funniest part about this cold (and, yes, there is one) is the fact that it has me craving tuna fish sandwiches. I had planned to start the Atkins diet again this week to get rid of this unwanted weight, but that sort of fell through the tubes. Especially since I just had my second T.F. sandwich of the day, a small bag of chips, and 3 R’s peanut butter cups.
There’s always next week.
Right?

You know if you stand in front of a darkened mirror and say “Typhoid Mary” three times she’ll appear and hand you a bag of tasty herbal Ricola and a seldom heard Vertical Horizon demo tape. The quality is kind of sketchy but you could still ask for a bunch when you unload it on ebay.

You’re so funny!
But quit making me laugh…it brings out the TM cough and that doesn’t make me happy.
(Thanks for the giggle, though…needed that today…)
