Let me get this straight.
Underage girls in the United States can obtain abortions without parental consent, but an underage boy is not legally allowed to decide for himself if he wants chemotherapy? Granted, the mother defied a court order which she shouldn’t have done, but the court order is questionable at best.
Our system is totally screwed up. In my opinion, the parents should be responsible for anyone under 18 for any medical procedure, but that’s not what irritates me. It’s the double standard that parents are responsible for their children / no they’re not that drives me insane. It needs to be one way or the other, not this cherry-picking insanity that goes on.
Get yourselves together, government.
