The Raft Lives
By The Misfit | July 16, 2009
When I first read this story, Stephen King’s “The Raft” immediately popped to mind (which can be read in Skeleton Crew or seen as adapted in Creepshow 2). I mean, seriously, the opening sentence of the news article is:
“It’s big, it’s black, it’s gooey and it may be alive.”
How “Stephen King” is that?
A “giant mystery blob” is crawling through the waters of Alaska, looks like an oil slick, but may be alive?
Does this count as life imitating art?
Or does it have to eat someone first?
