It’s Official!!!
Monday, November 30th, 2009I am a recipient of a Masters of Letters in The Gothic Imagination.
Graduation was on Friday.
I didn’t go.
But I’ve had a grand time looking at pictures on Facebook.
Congratulations to all my friends who graduated, too! And for those of you still slogging along… Ha ha! ;-)
Absolute Insanity
Wednesday, November 25th, 2009Yeah… so I’ve totally slacked off this week for the past couple of weeks. I keep thinking about the old adage about the road to hell being paved with good intentions. It hasn’t done much good though.
Today I’ve been trying to do my usual cleaning, which has kind of been sadly half-assed because I’m trying [...]
Yeah, I’ll Quit Complaining…
Friday, November 20th, 2009When my government gets its head out of its nether regions, actually starts listening to their constituents and puts forth solid solutions to problems instead of trying to force bills through congress just so they can have bragging rights. Don’t like the message: vilify the messenger.
Note to congress: read above.
New Stuff…
Wednesday, November 18th, 2009Okay… so I haven’t done anything I’m normally supposed to do during the week when it comes to blogging – no Mike Rowe fiance posts (though I do plan on getting to that either tomorrow or Friday – I have two episodes to watch, so…), no Christian Gothic posts, no general babble.
I have been busy, [...]
Hmm…
Monday, November 16th, 2009I think brain burnout has finally hit me. Who would’ve thought it would take 2 months or so after finishing grad school and leaving Scotland for me to hit the point where I don’t want to think about anything. Not books. Not work. Not writing. Not my beloved Mike Rowe. I’m working on stuff, but [...]
Cranky, Cranky, Cranky
Friday, November 13th, 2009Yeah, it’s been a hell of a week. Nothing dire happened, thankfully, but feeling like crap makes me cranky. And unmotivated. So, I spent the week alternating between doing what had to absolutely be done and lying in bed doing nothing. I’d been writing it off as a character flaw, which didn’t help, and I’m [...]
Did You Ever
Wednesday, November 11th, 2009Have one of those weeks where you just feel like absolute crap and can’t be motivated to do much of anything? Colored by all the craziness of the world around you?
Am having one of those weeks.
Will try to get my weekly “Mike Rowe is my fiance” post done at some point, but it’ll probably be [...]
Sad, Sad Times
Friday, November 6th, 2009I’m sure everyone has heard about the horrific shooting that happened at Ft. Hood yesterday. In lieu of a random babbling article today, I’d like to request that you keep the Ft. Hood community and everyone else affected by this in your thoughts and prayers.
The Grand Tour Week Five
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009This week found Mike and me in California (I think… all this state-hopping is beginning to take its toll) at Sims Recycling Solutions for a bout of electronic device recycling and once again in Hawaii for Tofu Making with Aloha Tofu Factory Inc. Mike got to take out his aggressions on used electronics and think [...]
And The Winner Is…
Monday, November 2nd, 2009Today I was going to post my first Christian Gothic book blog. I’m way behind in my reading schedule, so it’ll have to wait at least a couple of days. I want to avoid the whole academic angle for the most part and I haven’t had time to re-read any of the books.
Book geek that [...]
