Heartbreaking

I was joking with my parents the other day that we should have a trial run of not watching the news for a week.
Seriously, it’s been the same things over and over and over again.
And then the earthquake in Haiti hit.
Honestly, the pictures and the news reports don’t do the devastation justice, I’m sure. And have made me kind of wish I’d made this my week to not watch the news. Every time I think I’ve reached my threshold for absolute horror, something comes along to jack it up.
And I’d like to kick Pat Robertson’s ass for being an idiot. I’m not linking to his comments because I feel they’re beneath contempt considering the situation.
My previous post requesting donations for a medical bill will be deleted as soon as I post this. Any money already donated will be returned. I cannot in good faith request donations for myself when there’s so much suffering elsewhere.
So, please help out if you can.
