Reveling In It
By The Misfit | March 27, 2010
Yesterday I was at work sliding down rabbit holes trying to find out some information. So, I stopped by a gentlemen’s office to ask a question. By the time I’d made it there, I was already kind of frustrated because I couldn’t find out what I needed to know.
There were other people in his office, talking about this and that, so I patiently stood in the hall outside waiting for them to wrap up. As I was waiting, out walked this incredibly gorgeous bald man… seriously. Tall, lithe, looked kinda like Matt Scannell from Vertical Horizon. So, I’m standing there, looking all stupid and bored, probably, and the conversation went a little something like this:
Him: Hi
Misfit: Hi
Him: How are you?
Me: Find wall, bang head.
cue crickets chirping.
Me: But it’s Friday, so that makes everything all good.
Him: smiles politely and walks off
Now, I’m hardly in a position to be interested in dating. Well, except one person, but even that has its stalls for a number of reasons. But once, just once, I’d like to be the cool, suave person instead of the proverbial bull in a china shop.
I had a HUGE laugh about it with a couple of my co-workers. Cause, really, what’s funnier than making an ass out of yourself because that’s just what you do? On a fairly regular basis.
I’m totally awesome in my ability to do so.
Why not revel in it?
I mean, it’s far more interesting that the generic “fine, thank you” when you don’t mean that at all.
