When the World goes Insane

I’ve gotten horrible about blogging. Seriously, anyone who knows me in person knows that I generally will never shut up. I have opinions and I’m not afraid to share them. 🙂

But life… well, life is absolutely insane and it’s only going to get insaner from here on out.

I’m slowly but surely working on the sequel to From Poe to Know. That typically gets shoved aside by my day job. Those pesky bills take precedence over everything else.

I’m dealing with a chronic health condition that really has no effective treatment. Go me!

I started working with a new client, so yay for that!

I’ve been house sitting and playing staff for two cats for the past two weeks and will spend essentially the next two weeks bouncing between two houses and three cats when my parents bring my lovely Dorian Gray back up to my house while they go on vacation. They’ll pick him back up on their way back home and I’ll move back to full time house sitting and staff playing for an unknown amount of time.

I can’t give away specific details, but the best part out of all this craziness is that my brother and sister-in-law are in the middle of adopting a couple of children, which explains pawning my cat off on my parents while I take care of theirs. Don’t know when they’re going to be back yet, but the insanity is worth it. Pretty soon they’ll bring their kids home, and by the end of the year I’ll go from being an aunt to the Monkey, to being an aunt to four kids in total.

The possibilities for being a bad influence (as aunts are supposed to be, in my opinion) are going to be limitless.

I can’t wait!

In the meantime, there are a ton of things to do before they get back. Rooms prepped, clothes shopped for, refrigerator replenished, toys purchased… it’s going to add to the insanity in a big way, but it’ll be fantastic. I’m glad I’m only the helper in all of this.

Bottom line, though, is I’ll be happy when everyone’s finally home. This waiting is *killing* me!
