#ThreeForThursday | Speaking of Harlan Ellison…

Since I’ve got Harlan Ellison on the brain this week (and missing my ability to pick up and read at will, since all my books are boxed up in storage)…

  1. Originally published in April 1966 by Esquire, “Frank Sinatra has a Cold” by Gay Talese always makes me wish people still wrote like this.
  2. Take a break and spend a cool 15+ minutes watching an interview with Harlan Ellison about his post-apocalyptic science fiction short story, “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.” Point of note: This short story was my first introduction to Ellison. It’s been a while since I’ve read it (see above note about books in storage) but it always gives me the chills…
  3. Check out this interesting article about how Harlan Ellison almost got the villain Two-Face onto the 1960s Batman TV show.
