Since I’ve got Harlan Ellison on the brain this week (and missing my ability to pick up and read at will, since all my books are boxed up in storage)…
- Originally published in April 1966 by Esquire, “Frank Sinatra has a Cold” by Gay Talese always makes me wish people still wrote like this.
- Take a break and spend a cool 15+ minutes watching an interview with Harlan Ellison about his post-apocalyptic science fiction short story, “I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream.” Point of note: This short story was my first introduction to Ellison. It’s been a while since I’ve read it (see above note about books in storage) but it always gives me the chills…
- Check out this interesting article about how Harlan Ellison almost got the villain Two-Face onto the 1960s Batman TV show.
