A Girl With a Dream
Unless you’ve been living under a rock or are new to reading my blog you know that I’ve been accepted to grad school at the University of Stirling and will be leaving to go overseas in August / September of 2008. I will be earning my Masters in their The Gothic Imagination program and (if my dad has his way) I’ll be staying for my PhD, too.*
Which takes money.
As a way to supplement any loans and / or scholarships, I am asking for your help as well. There are a couple of different options at this point. You can check out my online store and purchase something (new items will be added on a fairly regular basis), or, if you don’t see anything of interest to purchase but would still like to help, you can click the nifty donation button on the left sidebar which will take you directly to PayPal.**
No donation amount is too small and every dollar donated will help cover the cost of school which, tuition and room & board aside, will include a new computer / printer, cold-weather clothes (in short supply having lived in Florida more often than not), travel to and from Scotland, bills, and whatever else might arise. As a student I can work in Scotland so I will have some money coming in, but I can’t work more than 20 hours a week while I’m in school.
Do you have to donate or purchase something? No. But I’ll be grateful for all the help I can get, so feel free to spread the word.
